It was a magical time. I got to grow up with the original Star Wars, Atari, Nintendo, He-Man, Transformers, D&D, the first home computers, and the best music. It was a time when being awesome was cool, when you played outside, drew dinosaurs, and had paper airplane contests. Riding your bike to your friends house was an adventure. You’d share tips about secrets in The Legend of Zelda during recess, the hung out at the mall to play arcade games. There was no internet, no cell phones. When you left the house, you were off the grid. I loved it.
